Meteorological & Environmental Remote Sensing Virtual Online Seminar

  自1960年4月1日美國發射的第一顆氣象衛星TIROS-1,迄今已逾60年,我們日常生活所需的氣象預報、短中長期氣候推估,乃至環境的監測,氣象與環境衛星的觀測,已經扮演不可或缺的角色。特別臺灣地區面臨西北太平洋颱風、梅雨季的中小尺度對流系統、夏季季風肇始的西南氣流、東南亞地區生質燃燒及中國沙塵暴與空污等,於特定季節與條件下,均會影響臺灣及其鄰近地區。因為地理狀態為四面臨海,地面與海面觀測能量有限,妥善使用氣象與環境衛星的資料,將有助於降低前述問題的衝擊,並提升防災減災的能量。因此我們開始邀集國際間對於氣象與環境衛星這部分有經驗的學者及研究人員,透過線上演講分享經驗,為臺灣未來的氣象衛星及環境監測儲備能量與積累實力。
